PERFORMER GUIDELINES
● You must be over 18 years old with valid ID
● Your music must be emailed to contact@getweird.com.au before the event
● Songs preferably must be under 4 minutes long unless otherwise discussed.
● You must inform us before the event if you plan to use water or any kind of mess on stage.
● Arrive 30 minutes before performance – no communication of being late prior will result in your performance slot being removed for the night.
● Get Weird and the Venue of performance are not responsible for personal injury caused during performance (Performers insurance is recommended)
● By performing for Get Weird you accept these terms & conditions in order to perform. If any of these terms & conditions are violated you will be removed from the venue immediately forfeiting your performance fee and banned from performing or attending any Get Weird events depending on the severity of the violation.
RULES & CONDITIONS
● There is ZERO TOLERANCE for any kind of anti-social and harmful behaviour towards other performers, patrons or staff such as: harassment, discrimination, violence, sexual assault, abuse, misgendering, transphobia, racism, abuse of power, stalking, stealing, xenophobia, fatphobia, ableism, anti-blackness, disrespect, bullying, sexism, property or personal damage and non-consensual behaviours.
● Nipple covers must be worn on exposed chests irregardless if you have breast tissue or not. This includes silicone/fake chests.

● Genitalia cannot be exposed during a performance and must be covered backstage. Use the appropriate change room backstage or the venue toilets.
(not applicable for Club Sappho’s events)
● Backstage is for Wristband/AAA Pass holders only. Your friends are not allowed backstage unless you’ve contacted management. Anyone without a wristband or AAA pass found backstage will be instantly removed from the venue.
● Cultural appropriation or racially insensitive performances will not be tolerated.
● Only Black/Blak and Indigenous Australians can use songs with the “N” word in it.
● Trigger warnings must be at the beginning of your performance if there are visuals and/or lyrics about sexual assault, animal cruelty, racism, violence or abuse.
● Do not touch other performers, staff or patrons without consent.
● Performances regarding political views must be communicated before the event to ensure it lines with Get Weird’s policies and views.
● The use of fire and pyrotechnics is prohibited.
● The use of live animals and/or animal cruelty is prohibited.
